We went for a drive to Richmond vale near Toronto in the bottom of the Hunter they have some rolling stock light rail This Scot John brown in the late 1800 early 1900's built one of the biggest coal empires in the world if they could not supply what he was after rail line he made a foundry and made them he needed bricks to line the coal mine the brick supply was poor at best at the time so he made his own on site as well this Richmond coal mine was not only the largest in the world at it's peak it was close as it gets at being self sufficient as well
